Mayra Cifuentes
Mayra Cifuentes is a Mexican activist for the rights of women, children, and access to health. Mayra studied Sociology at the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM by its acronym in Spanish), where she participated in qualitative and quantitative research on access to health for women with chronic health conditions. In addition, Mayra has worked on data analysis on the sexual and reproductive rights of women. Ms. Cifuentes worked as a roving assistant to facilitate the right to access health and basic services for migrants, refugees, and people in transit through Mexico. For the past ten years, Mayra has collaborated as a volunteer with various civil society organizations that provide services to populations with specific needs, including people with disabilities.
